Our Philisophy
At KAS Audio our philosophy is based on the principle that less is more. What does that mean? The principle of less is more dictates that audio equipment and parts should maintain unwanted coloration of the original music to an absolute minimum. It follows then that at KAS Audio we do not produce products whose aim is to color your system in such a way so as to match your componenets. We avoid introducing added coloration at all costs. Any interconnect or power cord that's designed to match a particular type of system, i.e., a bright system or a veiled/dark system, will ALWAYS add it's own coloration in the process. This coloration will either add or detract from the music, i.e., you either hear less of the music the artist recorded or, worse yet; you hear noise/music that was never recorded by the original artist!

At KAS Audio, we have applied this principle in every stage of design and production, achieving products that essentially pull a disappearing act, thus allowing only the original recorded music to shine through, free of added noise and coloration. Therefore, given a good quality audio set up, the inherently neutral and transparent nature of our cables, will reveal the true potential of such a system, unveiling the music and revealing previously unrealized dynamic range and low level detail that audiophiles crave for. On the other hand, a harmonically rich, balanced, neutral and essentially natural sounding audio system will even further benefit from our cables. Such a system will be revealed in all its beauty and glory, like never before, blurring the boundaries between reproduced music and live music so much so that you WILL lose yourself in your music. You can count on that! This is what high end musical reproduction is all about: to arrive at a level of auditory pleasure where you simply sit back, relax, enjoy the music and forget about the fact that you are listening to reproduced music and consequently you unconsciously discard the analytical aspect of listening. The realization of this end is our passion and goal. We also would like to share this passion with our customers and give them a chance to realize the true potential of their audio system.

It goes without saying that at KAS Audio, as far as Interconnects and Power Cords are concerned, we do not believe in “magical” noise reducing boxes and such gizmos. We consider all of the above to be unnecessary. Because such gizmos as “filters” could add or detract from the original musical information, we consider them to be completely unnecessary and potentially harmful to the ORIGINAL recorded music. Any such device that could add veils of its own and could further distance the listener from the original recording is damaging to the visceral and emotional enjoyment of the music. After all we are here to enjoy the music as it was meant to be heard!
